Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has a general score of 85.3, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy A12's 80.3 general score. The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 construction is newer and much thinner, but also a lot heavier than Samsung Galaxy A12. Microsoft Surface Duo 2 features a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy A12, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 also has more RAM. Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has a much more vibrant display than Galaxy A12, because it has a greater display density, a larger display and a much better resolution of 1892 x 2688 pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy A12 shoots slightly better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rates and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for low light photos and videos, and they both have the same (Full HD) video definition, the Samsung Galaxy A12 also counts with a back-facing camera with much more megapixels.
The Galaxy A12 features a much better memory capacity to install games and applications than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 1 TB. Galaxy A12 features a little better battery performance than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because it has a 12 percent greater battery size.
