Samsung Galaxy A12 has a score of 80.3, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017)'s 75.8 global score. Samsung Galaxy A12's design is incredibly newer, but way heavier and thicker than the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017). Galaxy A12 features a bit faster processor than Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy A12 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Galaxy A5 (2017) features a better screen than Galaxy A12, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a way higher pixel number per inch in the screen. Samsung Galaxy A12 features a superior storage for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has a SD extension slot that holds up to 1 TB and 32 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Galaxy A12 features a really longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh. Samsung Galaxy A12 takes much clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for shooting images and/or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Samsung Galaxy A12 also counts with a back camera with a much higher 48 MP resolution.
