The Samsung Galaxy S5 is a bit better than the Galaxy A12, getting a overall score of 80.8 against 80.3. Both phones in our current comparison use Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy S5 has newer 4.4.2 version while Galaxy A12 has Android 10 version, giving you a couple additional features. The Samsung Galaxy S5 construction is a lot lighter and just a little bit thinner than Galaxy A12, even though it was released many years before.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 features a much better battery life than Galaxy S5, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 2800mAh.
