Samsung Galaxy A12 is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, having a global score of 80.3 against 75.8. Even though Samsung Galaxy A12 is way newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, it is somewhat heavier and just a little thicker. These phones use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy A12 has the older 10 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy A12, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a better display pixels density and a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.
