Both of these phones come with Android OS, but Galaxy A12 has the older 10 version while Galaxy A16 (Rumored) has Android 14.

Samsung Galaxy A16 (Rumored) counts with a much better screen than Samsung Galaxy A12, because it has a greater pixel number per inch of display, a little larger display and a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2340.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 (Rumored) counts with a better storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy A12, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 1000 GB against 1 TB, it also counts with 64 GB more internal storage. Samsung Galaxy A12 shoots just a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy A16 (Rumored), although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for low light photos and videos and a camera with a worse 48 mega pixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy A12's battery duration is very similar to the Galaxy A16 (Rumored) one.
