Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A40 has a score of 79.6, which is slightly better than the Huawei P20's 78.1 global score. Samsung Galaxy A40's design is newer and lighter than Huawei P20's, but it's just a little bit thicker. These phones have Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy A40 has older 11 version and Huawei P20 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
Samsung Galaxy A40 and Huawei P20 have quite similar screens, although the Huawei P20 has a just a little less pixels per inch in the display, a little bit smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels. The Galaxy A40 has a quite bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Huawei P20, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB.
Huawei P20 has just a bit better processing power than Galaxy A40. Both have a Octa-Core processing unit and the same RAM amount. The Huawei P20 shoots clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low-light photos and a way less MP resolution camera in the back, it also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a lot better 3840x2160 video definition.
Huawei P20 has just a bit better battery performance than Galaxy A40, because it has a 10 percent larger battery size.
