Samsung Galaxy M31s has an overall score of 88, which is much better than the Galaxy A40's score of 79.6. Samsung Galaxy M31s's design is newer, but somewhat thicker and notably heavier than Galaxy A40. Both of these phones include the same Android 11 OS, so both of them should provide you identical operating system features.
The Samsung Galaxy M31s features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy A40, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Samsung Galaxy M31s also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
