Comparison review
The Galaxy A40 is a little bit better than Sony Xperia XZ2, getting a overall score of 79.6 against 79.1. The Galaxy A40 body is newer, a lot lighter and way thinner than the Sony Xperia XZ2. Xperia XZ2 has a bit more vivid display than Galaxy A40, although it has a quite smaller display, a just a little worse pixels count in each inch in the screen and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 counts with a bit better processing unit than Galaxy A40. Both of them have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount. Xperia XZ2 features a much better camera than Galaxy A40, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not favorable for low light photos and videos, it also counts with a higher resolution back facing camera, a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a larger back camera sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy A40 features a slightly better storage for apps and games than Sony Xperia XZ2, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A40 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 512 GB. The Xperia XZ2 counts with a bit superior battery performance than Galaxy A40, because it has a 3180mAh battery size against 3100mAh.
