The LG G5 has an overall score of 76.1, which is a bit better than Galaxy A5's 72.4 general score. The LG G5 body is newer than Galaxy A5's, but it is noticeably heavier and thicker. These phones use Android OS (Operating System), but LG G5 has 8.0 Oreo version and Galaxy A5 has Android 4.4.4 version.

The LG G5 counts with a little bit better looking display than Galaxy A5, because it has a quite bigger display, a lot greater display density and a much better 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. Galaxy A5 counts with a bit faster processing unit than LG G5, because although it has lesser RAM memory, and they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Galaxy A5 also counts with an extra graphics processor and a 64-bits CPU.

The LG G5 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy A5, because it has a better resolution back camera and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality. LG G5 features much more memory to install applications and games than Galaxy A5, because it has 32 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB.

LG G5 features improved battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A5, because it has a 2800mAh battery size.

Although LG G5 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy A5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy A5. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the LG G5, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy A5, resigning a couple specifications.
