The OnePlus 8 Pro is just a bit better than the Galaxy A5, having a 77.2 score against 72.4. The OnePlus 8 Pro body is much newer, but much thicker and way heavier than the Galaxy A5. OnePlus 8 Pro has a much better display than Galaxy A5, because it has a much better 1440 x 3168 resolution, a way bigger display and a lot greater pixels density.
The OnePlus 8 Pro features just a little better performance than Galaxy A5, because although it has a 32 bits CPU against 64-bits and doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with 6 GB more RAM and a larger number of faster cores. OnePlus 8 Pro features a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy A5, because it has a back-facing camera with a way better 48 MP resolution and a lot better video resolution.
The OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a much bigger memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A5, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The OnePlus 8 Pro counts with a very superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A5, because it has a 4510mAh battery size.
Although OnePlus 8 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Galaxy A5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy A5. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Galaxy A5, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
