Samsung Galaxy Alpha is a little bit better than the Galaxy A5, getting a score of 76.3 against 72.4. Both devices in our current comparison work with the same Android 4.4.4 OS (Operating System). Samsung Galaxy Alpha's body has the same thickness than the Galaxy A5, but it is just a little lighter.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha counts with a bit more vivid display than Galaxy A5, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 720, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha also counts with a little higher pixels density. Galaxy Alpha has a bit better CPU than Galaxy A5, although it has a 32-bit processing unit instead of 64-bits, they both have 4 cores, a 450 megahertz graphics processing unit and 2 GB of RAM.

The Galaxy A5 features just a bit more memory for apps and games than Galaxy Alpha, because although it has only 16 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB. The Galaxy A5 counts with longer battery life than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a 2300mAh battery capacity.

Galaxy Alpha shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy A5, because although it has a back camera with less mega pixels, it also counts with a much better (4K) video definition.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha costs more money than Galaxy A5, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
