The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition is better than Galaxy A5, with a general score of 80.4 against 72.4. Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a much newer phone than Galaxy A5, but it is way heavier and somewhat thicker. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition has just a little better processing power than Galaxy A5, because although it has a 32-bit CPU against 64-bits and doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM memory and 4 more cores.

Galaxy Note Fan Edition features a little more vivid display than Galaxy A5, because it has a quite larger display, a lot higher pixel density and a much higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition features a much greater storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A5, because it has an external SD slot that holds up to 256 GB and more internal storage.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a really longer battery performance than Galaxy A5, because it has a 3200mAh battery capacity against 2300mAh. Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition takes much better pictures and videos than Galaxy A5, because although it has a lower 12 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a lot higher (4K) video resolution.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy A5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy A5. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy A5, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
