Comparison review

Galaxy S6 Edge has a global score of 85.7, which is better than Samsung Galaxy A5's 72.4 general score. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy S6 Edge has newer 5.0 version while Samsung Galaxy A5 has Android 4.4.4 version, offering some extra features and enhanced performance. Even being the best device we are comparing here, the Galaxy S6 Edge body is a little thicker and a little heavier than Samsung Galaxy A5.

The Galaxy S6 Edge has a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A5, because it has a lot higher resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, a little bit larger display and a lot greater display pixel density. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a much better storage capacity for applications and games than Galaxy A5, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal memory.

Galaxy S6 Edge features a quite better performance than Galaxy A5, and although they both have a 64-bits processor, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has a greater amount of RAM memory, a much better 650 megahertz graphics co-processor and a greater number of faster cores. Galaxy S6 Edge features a little better battery duration than Galaxy A5, because it has a 2600mAh battery size against 2300mAh.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy A5, because it has a lot higher video resolution and a back-facing camera with a higher resolution.

Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy A5, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy A5. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy S6 Edge, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy A5, giving up a couple specifications.
