Galaxy XCover 5 has an overall score of 78.1, which is slightly better than the Galaxy A5's overall score of 72.4. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy XCover 5 has the previous 11 version while Galaxy A5 has Android 4.4.4 version. Although Galaxy XCover 5 is incredibly newer than Galaxy A5, it's way heavier and incredibly thicker.
Galaxy XCover 5 counts with a CPU that is very similar to the CPU in Galaxy A5, because although the Galaxy XCover 5 has a 32 bits CPU against 64-bits and doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with a greater number of cores and more RAM memory. The Galaxy XCover 5 features superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy A5, because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity instead of 2300mAh.
Galaxy XCover 5 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Galaxy A5, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy XCover 5 also has a better 16 MP resolution back camera.
