The Xperia 1 II is way better than the Galaxy A5, getting a score of 91 against 72.4. Xperia 1 II's design is extremely newer, but somewhat thicker and noticeably heavier than the Galaxy A5. Both of these devices come with Android OS, but Xperia 1 II has the older 11 version while Galaxy A5 has Android 4.4.4.

The Xperia 1 II features a much better looking screen than Galaxy A5, because it has a bigger display, a much higher 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution and a way higher pixel number per display inch. Xperia 1 II counts with just a little better processing power than Galaxy A5, because although it has a 32-bit processing unit instead of 64-bits and doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM and a greater number of cores (and faster).
