Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is a little bit better than the Galaxy A5, getting a 77.7 score against 72.4. Both phones in our current comparison have Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has 8.1 Oreo version and Galaxy A5 has Android 4.4.4. Despite being the best phone in this review, Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's construction is much heavier and thicker than Galaxy A5.
Samsung Galaxy A5 counts with a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, although it has a way worse screen pixel density, a way lower resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a really smaller screen. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A5, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor and a 32-bits processing unit instead of 64-bits, it also counts with a greater number of cores (and they are faster) and a greater amount of RAM memory.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a much better camera than Samsung Galaxy A5, because although it has a less mega-pixels resolution camera in the back, it also counts with a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has a much better memory for games and applications than Galaxy A5, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite counts with a way better battery life than Galaxy A5, because it has a 3350mAh battery capacity.
