Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi MIX has a score of 76.2, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy A5's overall score of 72.4. Xiaomi Mi MIX's design is much newer than Samsung Galaxy A5's, but it is thicker and notably heavier. Both of these phones have Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Mi MIX has a newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Samsung Galaxy A5 has Android 4.4.4 version.
Xiaomi Mi MIX features a screen that is just as good as the Galaxy A5 one, although the Xiaomi Mi MIX also has a just a bit higher screen pixel density, a larger display and a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2040. The Xiaomi Mi MIX has a much better memory to store more games and applications than Galaxy A5, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory.
The Galaxy A5 has a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi MIX, because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have 4 cpu cores, the Galaxy A5 also counts with a 64-bit processing unit and a graphics co-processor. Xiaomi Mi MIX counts with a very superior camera than Galaxy A5, because it has a camera in the back with a better resolution and a much higher video resolution.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX has a very superior battery lifetime than Galaxy A5, because it has a 4400mAh battery capacity against 2300mAh.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy A5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy A5. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy A5, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
