Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a score of 76, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy A5's general score of 72.4. Both devices in this comparison review have Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has the newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Galaxy A5 has Android 4.4.4 version, providing some extra features and performance optimizations. Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is incredibly newer than Galaxy A5, it's heavier and somewhat thicker.
Samsung Galaxy A5 has a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, although it has a lot worse 1280 x 720px resolution, a little smaller display and a just a little less pixels per inch of display. Xiaomi Mi Note 2's CPU is just as good as Galaxy A5's processing unit, because although the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has doesn't have a GPU and a 32 bits processing unit instead of 64-bits, and they both have the same number of cores, it also counts with 4 GB more RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a very superior storage to install applications and games than Galaxy A5, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 captures clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy A5, because it has a back camera with way more megapixels and a much higher (4K) video definition.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a way better battery life than Galaxy A5, because it has a 4070mAh battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Samsung Galaxy A5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy A5. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Xiaomi Mi Note 2, otherwise you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy A5, giving up some features and specs.
