Apple iPhone 8 is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy A50, getting an 85 score against 83.8. Despite of the fact that Apple iPhone 8 is older than the Samsung Galaxy A50, it's construction is just a little bit thinner and lighter. The iPhone 8 features a little bit better processing power than Galaxy A50, because although it has 2 GB lesser RAM and 2 lesser cores (although faster), it also counts with a 64-bit CPU.

Apple iPhone 8 counts with a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy A50, although it has a just a little worse screen pixel density, a much lower resolution of 750 x 1334px and a really smaller screen. Apple iPhone 8 has a camera that is very similar to the camera in Samsung Galaxy A50, because although the Apple iPhone 8 has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low light images and video, a tinier sensor shooting worse quality images and a camera in the back with much less MP resolution, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.

The Galaxy A50 features a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than iPhone 8, because although it has only 128 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Galaxy A50 features a much better battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 8, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.

Although iPhone 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy A50, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Galaxy A50. So if you need that extra features, you can buy iPhone 8, else you can save some money and buy the Galaxy A50, letting go some specifications.
