Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 has a general score of 81, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy A6's score of 75.8. Sony Xperia 5's construction is newer than Samsung Galaxy A6's, although it's just a little bit thicker and a little heavier. Xperia 5 counts with a better performing CPU than Samsung Galaxy A6, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 5 also has more RAM memory.
The Xperia 5 has a brighter display than Galaxy A6, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2520px, a lot greater screen density and a quite bigger display. Sony Xperia 5 features a superior memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A6, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 512 GB and 96 GB more internal memory capacity.
Sony Xperia 5 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A6, because although it has a much worse 12 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a larger back camera sensor providing a higher image quality, a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a larger diafragm aperture to take better photos in low light environments.
The Sony Xperia 5 features a bit superior battery duration than Galaxy A6, because it has a 3140mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh.
Although Xperia 5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy A6, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy A6. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy A6, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your savings.
