Comparison review
Xperia XZ1 is a little bit better than the Galaxy A6, getting a global score of 78.3 against 75.8. Even though Xperia XZ1 and Galaxy A6 were released only 8 months apart, Xperia XZ1 is just a little thinner and a little lighter. Xperia XZ1 has a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy A6, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the screen and a better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
Xperia XZ1 features a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A6, because it has more internal storage and a SD extension slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. The Sony Xperia XZ1 features a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy A6, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia XZ1 also has more RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy A6 features just a bit better battery life than Xperia XZ1, because it has an 11 percent more battery size. The Xperia XZ1 counts with a better camera than Galaxy A6, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for shooting photos or videos in poorly lited environments, it also counts with a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, a better 19 megapixels resolution camera and a bigger sensor providing a higher image quality.
Although Sony Xperia XZ1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy A6, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy A6. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Galaxy A6, giving up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
