The Galaxy A7 (2018) has an overall score of 84.2, which is a bit better than the Xperia XZ2 Premium's general score of 82.2. Galaxy A7 (2018)'s design is much thinner and a lot lighter than the Xperia XZ2 Premium, even when both were only released 3 months apart. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A7 (2018). They have the same number of cores and the same RAM memory amount.
Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with an incredibly better looking display than Galaxy A7 (2018), because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a much better resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels and a lot greater quantity of pixels per inch in the screen. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy A7 (2018), because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not favorable for capturing images or video in low light environments and a lot lower resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a much better video quality and a larger sensor taking better quality videos and photographs.
Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) has a much bigger storage for games and applications than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 512 GB and 64 GB more internal storage capacity. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018), because it has a 7 percent more battery capacity.
