Although the Huawei Mate X is newer than the Galaxy A7, it's much thicker and notably heavier. Both of these phones have Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate X has 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy A7 has Android 4.4.4 version.

Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy A7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy A7. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy A7, resigning some features and specifications.
