Comparison review

The Galaxy S6 Edge is much better than Galaxy A7, getting an 85.7 score against 75.4. The Galaxy S6 Edge body is a little lighter but thicker than Galaxy A7, and they were released with only 3 months difference. These phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy S6 Edge has the newer 5.0 version while Galaxy A7 has Android 4.4.4, providing the user some extra features and improved performance.

The Galaxy S6 Edge has a little faster processor than Samsung Galaxy A7, and although they both have 8 CPU cores and a 64-bit processor, the Galaxy S6 Edge also has 1 GB more RAM and a much better 650 MHz GPU. The Galaxy S6 Edge features a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy A7, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a greater pixels number per display inch and a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge captures a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy A7, because it has a lot better video quality and a back facing camera with a higher 16 MP resolution. Galaxy S6 Edge features a superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy A7, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.

Galaxy A7 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge have quite similar batteries duration.

Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Galaxy A7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Galaxy A7. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Galaxy A7, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
