Both phones in this review come with Android operating system, but Xperia 1 V has an older 13 version while Galaxy A7 has Android 4.4.4 version. Xperia 1 V is a incredibly newer cellphone than the Galaxy A7, although it is incredibly heavier and incredibly thicker.
The Galaxy A7 counts with a much better performing processor than Xperia 1 V, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 CPU cores, the Galaxy A7 also counts with a GPU and a 64 bits processor. The Galaxy A7 has a bit better looking display than Xperia 1 V, although it has a way lower 1920 x 1080 resolution, a much worse pixels number per inch in the display and a quite smaller display.
The Sony Xperia 1 V has a lot bigger storage to store more games and applications than Galaxy A7, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. The Sony Xperia 1 V features a greater camera than Galaxy A7, because it has a way higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a back camera with a way better 48 MP resolution.
Xperia 1 V has a superior battery lifetime than Galaxy A7, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 2600mAh.
