Sony Xperia XA2 Plus is a bit better than Galaxy A7, with a 78.6 score against 75.4. Both phones in this review have Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has a newer 8.0 Oreo version and Galaxy A7 has Android 4.4.4, so it provides a couple additional features and enhanced performance. The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus design is much newer than the Galaxy A7's, but it is a lot heavier and notably thicker.
The Galaxy A7 features just a bit better hardware performance than Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 processing cores, the Galaxy A7 also counts with a graphics processor and a 64-bit processing unit. Galaxy A7 counts with a little bit better screen than Xperia XA2 Plus, although it has a just a bit worse pixel density, a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a little smaller screen.
Xperia XA2 Plus shoots much better videos and photos than Galaxy A7, because it has a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a back facing camera with a much better 23 megapixels resolution. Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a much greater memory capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy A7, because it has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB and 48 GB more internal memory capacity.
Xperia XA2 Plus features a really longer battery life than Galaxy A7, because it has 3580mAh of battery capacity against 2600mAh.
