Samsung Galaxy A71 5G is much better than the Samsung Galaxy S8, having a overall score of 91.8 against 81.7. Samsung Galaxy A71 5G's construction is way newer, but just a little thicker and somewhat heavier than Samsung Galaxy S8. Galaxy A71 5G features a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy S8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A71 5G also has 2 GB more RAM.
Galaxy S8 has a slightly better looking display than Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher screen density and a higher 1440 x 2960 resolution. Galaxy A71 5G features a very superior memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 1000 GB and 128 GB internal memory capacity.
Galaxy A71 5G counts with a way better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S8, because it has a 50% bigger battery size. Galaxy A71 5G features a lot better camera than Samsung Galaxy S8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for capturing pictures and video in low-light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Galaxy A71 5G also counts with a lot more megapixels camera in the back and a much larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Although Samsung Galaxy A71 5G is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy S8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Galaxy S8, resigning some specifications.
