Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 1 III is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, with a 93.3 score against 91.8. Both of these phones have the same Android 11 OS (operating system). Sony Xperia 1 III is a just a little bit heavier phone than Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, but both of them are equally thin. The Xperia 1 III counts with a more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with much more pixels per inch of display and a much better resolution of 1644 x 3840px.
The Xperia 1 III features a bit faster processing unit than Galaxy A71 5G, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 1 III also has more RAM. The Xperia 1 III features a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy A71 5G, because it has a SD memory slot that holds up to 1 TB and 256 GB internal storage capacity.
Xperia 1 III's battery life is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G one. Samsung Galaxy A71 5G counts with a better camera than Sony Xperia 1 III, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for capturing photos and videos in poorly lited situations and lower video frame rate, and they both have the same sensor size and the same video definition, the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G also counts with a back camera with a much better resolution.
Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy A71 5G, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy A71 5G. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy A71 5G, resigning some features and specifications.
