Comparison review
The Galaxy A71 5G has a global score of 91.8, which is much better than the Xiaomi Mi 8's 83.3 score. Galaxy A71 5G's design is much newer than Xiaomi Mi 8's, but it's a bit thicker and a bit heavier. Both devices in this comparison review work with Android operating system, but the Galaxy A71 5G has 11 version and Xiaomi Mi 8 has Android 10 version, providing a couple additional features and enhanced performance.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with just a little better processing power than Galaxy A71 5G. They have the same number of cores and a 6 GB RAM memory. Xiaomi Mi 8 features a bit sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A71 5G, because although it has a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2248 and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per screen inch.
Samsung Galaxy A71 5G captures much clearer pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy A71 5G also has a back camera with lot more megapixels and a way larger camera sensor which provides a much better image and video quality.
The Galaxy A71 5G has a bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has only 128 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 1000 GB. The Samsung Galaxy A71 5G features longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
