Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A71 is slightly better than the Galaxy A8 Star, with a score of 87.5 against 82.1. These phones come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy A71 has the older 11 version while Galaxy A8 Star has Android 9.0 Pie. The Samsung Galaxy A71 design has the same thickness than the Galaxy A8 Star, but it is just a little bit lighter.
Galaxy A8 Star features a screen that is just as good as the Galaxy A71 one, although the Galaxy A8 Star has a bit less pixels per inch in the display, a little worse 1080 x 2220px resolution and a little smaller screen. The Galaxy A71 has a much better storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has an external memory slot that supports up to 512 GB and 128 GB internal memory.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star and Samsung Galaxy A71 both have quite similar processors, both have a Octa-Core CPU and 6 GB of RAM memory. Galaxy A71 captures a lot better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for capturing photos or video in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Galaxy A71 also counts with a way larger sensor taking lot better quality videos and pictures and a back-facing camera with much more mega-pixels.
The Galaxy A71 has superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 3700mAh.
