The Galaxy A8 Star has a global score of 82.1, which is slightly better than the Asus ROG Phone 8's 79.5 overall score. Even though the Galaxy A8 Star is a lot older than the Asus ROG Phone 8, it's construction is lighter and somewhat thinner. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version while Asus ROG Phone 8 has Android 14 version, so it gives you a couple additional features and increased performance.
Galaxy A8 Star features a much faster processing unit than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a brighter display than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a just a little worse count of pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a little bigger display and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2400.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a very superior camera than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller aperture, it also counts with a lot higher video definition, a lot better resolution camera in the back and a much bigger camera sensor which offers a much better photo and video quality.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a greater memory to store more apps and games than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 5500mAh battery capacity against 3700mAh.
