Google Pixel 2 XL is slightly better than the Galaxy A8 Star, having a general score of 82.5 against 82.1. Even though Google Pixel 2 XL is older and a little thicker than Galaxy A8 Star, it's body is still a little bit lighter. Google Pixel 2 XL has a slightly better display than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 2880 and a better number of pixels per inch of screen.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a better memory for applications and games than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 400 GB. The Google Pixel 2 XL and Galaxy A8 Star both have really similar processing units, and although the Google Pixel 2 XL has 2 GB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with a bit longer battery duration than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity against 3520mAh.
