The Galaxy A8 Star has a score of 82.1, which is a bit better than Honor 50 Pro's global score of 77. These phones come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Honor 50 Pro has Android 11. Galaxy A8 Star is an extremely older and a little heavier phone than Honor 50 Pro, but Samsung was able to build it a bit thinner anyway.
Honor 50 Pro counts with a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Honor 50 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Honor 50 Pro has a little bit better screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a just a little better pixel density, a bit bigger screen and a little bit higher resolution of 1236 x 2676px.
The Honor 50 Pro shoots much better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low light photography and video, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (4K) video resolution, the Honor 50 Pro also counts with a back camera with much more mega-pixels.
The Honor 50 Pro features a bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 192 GB more internal memory. Honor 50 Pro features a bit superior battery duration than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
