Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a score of 82.1, which is slightly better than the HTC One M9's score of 77.7. Both phones in this comparison include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version, providing the user some extra features and some performance improvements. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is a much newer and way thinner phone than the HTC One M9, but it's also somewhat heavier.

The HTC One M9 has a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has less RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the HTC One M9 also counts with an extra graphics co-processor and a 64 bits CPU.
