Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a score of 82.1, which is slightly better than the HTC One M9's score of 77.7. Both phones in this comparison include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version, providing the user some extra features and some performance improvements. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is a much newer and way thinner phone than the HTC One M9, but it's also somewhat heavier.
The HTC One M9 has a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has less RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the HTC One M9 also counts with an extra graphics co-processor and a 64 bits CPU. HTC One M9 has a brighter screen than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a really smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a little bit greater screen density.
Galaxy A8 Star features a lot bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than HTC One M9, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity and a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB. The HTC One M9 takes slightly better videos and photos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a lot smaller camera aperture which is not nice for low-light photos and video, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the HTC One M9 also counts with a larger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a more mega pixels camera in the back.
