Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is just a bit better than the HTC U Ultra's general score of 77. Even though the Galaxy A8 Star is somewhat heavier than the HTC U Ultra, it's a bit thinner and newer. The HTC U Ultra has a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater display pixels density and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px.

The Galaxy A8 Star counts with a little faster processor than HTC U Ultra, because it has 4 more CPU cores and 2 GB more RAM. The Galaxy A8 Star shoots clearer photographs and videos than HTC U Ultra, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor providing a worse image quality, and they both have the same video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Galaxy A8 Star also counts with a camera with a much better resolution and a bigger aperture for better images in low-light environments.
