Galaxy A8 Star is just a bit better than Huawei nova 5T, having an 82.1 score against 80.8. The Galaxy A8 Star is an older and just a bit heavier device than the Huawei nova 5T, but Samsung could make it just a little bit thinner anyway. Both of these devices include Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy A8 Star has the newer 9.0 Pie version and Huawei nova 5T has Android 10, providing some extra features and improved performance.
The Huawei nova 5T counts with just a bit better looking display than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Huawei nova 5T also has a bit greater pixel quantity per screen inch and a quite better 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. Galaxy A8 Star counts with a quite bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei nova 5T, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 400 GB.
The Huawei nova 5T has just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A8 Star. They have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 6 GB RAM. Huawei nova 5T has a battery life that's just as good as the battery life in Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, although the Huawei nova 5T also has a 3750mAh battery size against 3700mAh.
Huawei nova 5T counts with a better camera than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking images and video in low light situations, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same video definition, the Huawei nova 5T also counts with a much larger camera sensor providing a lot better image quality and a lot higher resolution back-facing camera.
