Comparison review
Galaxy A8 Star has a global score of 82.1, which is just a bit better than Huawei P10 Plus's general score of 79.8. Although Galaxy A8 Star is newer than Huawei P10 Plus, it's somewhat heavier and a bit thicker. Huawei P10 Plus features a bit more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a higher amount of pixels per inch of screen.
The Huawei P10 Plus features more memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a SD memory slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB against 400 GB, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Huawei P10 Plus features just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star. Both have 6 GB of RAM and 8 processing cores.
The Galaxy A8 Star takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Huawei P10 Plus, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video definition, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a bigger diafragm aperture for better photos in low light environments and a way higher 16 megapixels resolution back facing camera.
The Huawei P10 Plus counts with a battery duration that is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star one, although the Huawei P10 Plus also has 3750mAh of battery capacity instead of 3700mAh.
