Comparison review
Huawei P40 has a global score of 86.4, which is slightly better than the Galaxy A8 Star's 82.1 overall score. The Huawei P40 is a newer and just a bit lighter phone than the Galaxy A8 Star, but it's a little thicker. Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei P40 has older 10 version while Galaxy A8 Star has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Huawei P40 counts with a bit faster processor than Galaxy A8 Star. They have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores. Huawei P40 has a little more vivid screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2340px and a quite greater pixels number per inch in the display.
Huawei P40 shoots greater pictures and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for shooting pictures in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Huawei P40 also counts with a camera with lot more mega pixels, a much larger back-facing camera sensor which gives a way better image and video quality and better video frame rates.
The Galaxy A8 Star features a better storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei P40, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB. The Huawei P40 has just a little bit longer battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity.
