The Galaxy A8 Star is a bit better than Microsoft Surface Duo, having an 82.1 score against 78.8. Both devices in this review work with Android OS, but the Galaxy A8 Star has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Microsoft Surface Duo has Android 10, so it gives you a couple nice extra features. Despite of the fact the Galaxy A8 Star is extremely older and notably thicker than Microsoft Surface Duo, it's body is still incredibly lighter.
Microsoft Surface Duo has a little bit better performance than Galaxy A8 Star. Both of them have 6 GB of RAM and 8 cpu cores. The Microsoft Surface Duo counts with a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a much better resolution of 1800 x 2700, a bigger screen and a little bit better number of pixels per display inch.
The Galaxy A8 Star counts with a superior camera than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has worse video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Galaxy A8 Star also counts with a lot higher 16 megapixels resolution camera and a larger aperture for better captures in low light situations.
Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features a better storage capacity to install applications and games than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 400 GB. Galaxy A8 Star features just a bit longer battery performance than Microsoft Surface Duo, because it has 3700mAh of battery capacity.
