The Galaxy A8 Star is slightly better than Moto G31, with a global score of 82.1 against 77. Both of these phones have Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy A8 Star has 9.0 Pie version and Moto G31 has Android 11, so it gives some additional features and performance improvements. Despite of the fact the Galaxy A8 Star is way older and a little heavier than Moto G31, it's construction is still thinner.

The Moto G31 has a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a quite higher quantity of pixels in each inch in the screen, a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 and a bit larger screen.
