Galaxy A8 Star has a global score of 82.1, which is a bit better than Moto G8 Power's global score of 76. The Galaxy A8 Star construction is way thinner and just a little bit lighter than the Moto G8 Power, although it was released around a year before. Both of these phones use Android OS, but Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version and Moto G8 Power has Android 10 version, providing the user lots of additional features.

Galaxy A8 Star features a bit superior processor than Motorola Moto G8 Power, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A8 Star also has more RAM memory. Motorola Moto G8 Power features a screen that's just as good as Galaxy A8 Star's screen, although the Motorola Moto G8 Power also has a bit bigger display, a just a little higher screen density and a little bit higher 1080 x 2300 pixels resolution.

The Moto G8 Power has a camera that is very similar to the Galaxy A8 Star one, both of them have the same back-facing camera sensor size, a same size aperture, a 16 MP resolution camera, the same (4K) video resolution and the same video frame rates. Moto G8 Power counts with just a bit more storage capacity to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Moto G8 Power also has an external SD slot that holds up to 512 GB.

Moto G8 Power has greater battery performance than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 3700mAh.
