Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is a bit better than Moto G9 Play, with a general score of 82.1 against 76.7. These phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Moto G9 Play has Android 10 version, offering a couple additional features. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star is an older cellphone than the Moto G9 Play, but Samsung made it a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner anyway.

Galaxy A8 Star counts with a bit better performance than Motorola Moto G9 Play, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features a brighter screen than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher screen density and a lot higher 1080 x 2220px resolution.

The Moto G9 Play counts with just a bit more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Moto G9 Play also has an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. The Motorola Moto G9 Play has greater battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3700mAh.
