The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is slightly better than Motorola One Hyper's 79.8 overall score. Both of these phones work with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Motorola One Hyper has Android 11. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star's body is just a bit lighter and thinner than Motorola One Hyper, despite of the fact that it was released around 15 months before.
Motorola One Hyper features a screen that's very similar to Samsung Galaxy A8 Star's display, although the Motorola One Hyper also has a bit higher 1080 x 2340 resolution, a quite bigger display and a just a bit better pixel density. Motorola One Hyper takes much clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for taking pictures and/or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Motorola One Hyper also counts with a camera in the back with a much better resolution.
Motorola One Hyper has a bit superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 4000mAh battery size.
