Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is a bit better than the Nokia 9 PureView's 76.4 global score. Even though Galaxy A8 Star and Nokia 9 PureView were only released 6 months apart, the Galaxy A8 Star design is a bit heavier but also just a little bit thinner. Nokia 9 PureView has a slightly better looking display than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2880 pixels resolution and a better pixels density.
The Nokia 9 PureView has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star. They have 8 cores and 6 GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star takes a little bit better photos and videos than Nokia 9 PureView, and although they both have the same sensor size, the same video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has a lot more mega-pixels back-facing camera and a bigger aperture for better photography and videos in low-light environments.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star features a better storage capacity for games and applications than Nokia 9 PureView, because although it has 0 less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 400 GB. Galaxy A8 Star features just a bit better battery lifetime than Nokia 9 PureView, because it has a 3700mAh battery capacity instead of 3320mAh.
