The OnePlus 8 Pro features a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the OnePlus 8 Pro also has more RAM memory.
OnePlus 8 Pro has a lot better looking screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a greater display density, a better 1440 x 3168 resolution and a bit larger screen. Galaxy A8 Star features a greater memory for apps and games than OnePlus 8 Pro, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 400 GB.
OnePlus 8 Pro has longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a 4510mAh battery size. The OnePlus 8 Pro takes way better photographs and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for taking pictures in low-light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the OnePlus 8 Pro also counts with a back facing camera with a much better resolution, better 60 fps video frame rates and a way larger camera sensor providing a much higher image quality.
