Comparison review
The Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is slightly better than the Galaxy A31's global score of 81.3. Both phones in this review have Android OS, but Galaxy A8 Star has newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy A31 has Android 10 version. The Galaxy A8 Star design is somewhat thinner than Galaxy A31, although it is just a little heavier and was released about 20 months before.
Galaxy A8 Star counts with a bit better processing power than Galaxy A31, and although they both have 8 cores, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Galaxy A31 features a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has a little bigger display, a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display.
The Samsung Galaxy A31 counts with just a bit bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy A31 also has an external SD slot that admits up to 512 GB. The Samsung Galaxy A31 has greater battery performance than Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3700mAh.
Galaxy A31 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for capturing photographs in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Galaxy A31 also counts with a much bigger sensor taking much better quality videos and photos and a way more mega pixels camera.
