The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a score of 87, which is just a bit better than Galaxy A8 Star's 82.1 score. The Samsung Galaxy A42 construction is noticeably newer than Galaxy A8 Star's, although it is somewhat thicker and a little heavier. These phones use Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has the older 11 version and Galaxy A8 Star has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Galaxy A8 Star has just a bit better processing power than Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy A8 Star also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
