Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is a bit better than Galaxy M12's global score of 80. Both of these phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy A8 Star has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy M12 has Android 10. Despite of the fact that the Galaxy A8 Star is way older than the Galaxy M12, it's construction is way thinner and somewhat lighter.
The Galaxy A8 Star counts with a more vivid screen than Galaxy M12, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2220 pixels and a higher pixel amount in each inch of display. The Samsung Galaxy M12 has a greater storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M12 also has an external SD slot that admits up to 1 TB.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 Star counts with a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy M12, and although they both have 8 cores, the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star also has a greater amount of RAM memory. The Galaxy M12 features a way better battery life than Galaxy A8 Star, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy M12 takes just a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for capturing photographs in low-light environments, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy M12 also counts with a camera in the back with a much higher resolution.
