Galaxy A8 Star has a general score of 82.1, which is slightly better than the Galaxy XCover Pro's 81 general score. Both devices in this comparison have Android operating system, but Galaxy A8 Star has 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy XCover Pro has Android 11 version, providing you a couple nice extra features and better performance. Galaxy A8 Star is an older cellphone than the Galaxy XCover Pro, but Samsung managed to make it a lot thinner and lighter anyway.

The Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro counts with a bit sharper display than Galaxy A8 Star, and although they both have a same size screen, the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro also has a little bit more pixels per inch of display and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2340.
