Xperia XZ2 Premium is slightly better than Galaxy A8 Star, getting an 82.2 score against 82.1. Although it's the best cellphone in this review, Xperia XZ2 Premium is a much thicker and heavier cellphone than Galaxy A8 Star. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a lot better looking screen than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 2160 x 3840 and a lot greater amount of pixels per inch in the display.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bit faster CPU than Galaxy A8 Star. Both have 8 processing cores and 6 GB of RAM memory. The Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy A8 Star, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a more megapixels back camera and a larger sensor.
Xperia XZ2 Premium has as much memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as the Samsung Galaxy A8 Star, they have the same internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards that holds up to 400 GB. Galaxy A8 Star has just a bit longer battery life than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 3700mAh battery size.
